The regulations and the importance of these regulations is outlined above, the importance of staying compliant is self-evident. Which regulations apply depends on the flag and location of the ship. Regulations may impact you by restricting the choice of potential recycling destinations and facilities. They may also require additional preparation time and effort e.g. to obtain approval for moving an end-of-life vessel to its final destination.
